- Lacking the typical components positioned behind the vehicle's wheel, the snow chain is comfortably fitted from the outer side of the wheel, allowing operating in such areas being easier to access and cleaner.
- The chain get attached to the wheel itself by two specific brackets, pre-fitted onto the wheel at the beginning of the winter season and then dismounted at season's end.
- The high resistance fixing straps ensure the requested tensile resistance and they are adjustable in lenght, allowing a proper fit on different offset wheel hubs
- The special tensioning wheel engages a proprietary designed doubled-treaded device allowing a powerful yet effortless tensioning operation.
- The cross-chain pattern includes special plastic plates and 5.60mm wire chain, manufactured in special alloy steel, hardened and galvanized to ensure the requested durability
- Our proprietary designed, welded traction bars are meant to dramatically improve grip and handling, to ensure mechanical resistance and to avoid the typical damages to tyres which may occur with the use of square-shaped traction bars

Bus drivers perfectly know that, when driving around on winter roads with passengers onboard, fitting snow chains can become annoying and take longer than expected.
Focusing on this specific consumer need, König developed a specific external chain solution, the K-Summit Pro, which allows the complete snow chain fitting without moving the vehicle and without acting behind the wheel with the typical hooking/unhooking operations.
The K-Summit Pro gets attached to the wheel thanks to specific wheel bolt brackets which are installed on the rim itself at the beginning of the winter season. These brackets remain available on the wheel as attachment points whenever the traction of a snow chain is needed.
In fact the fitting of the K-Summit Pro can be summarized in the following steps:
1. Attach the centering bar to the wheel brackets thanks to the quick-carabiner
2. Open the K-Summit Pro arms and position the chain on the tyre, leaving the chain just hanging over the tyre profile
3. Unscrew the tensioning wheel in order to extend the inner connecting ring to reach the centering bar hook
4. Fasten the tensioning wheel and once the chain is correctly placed, the bus can start driving and the chain will find its final position while driving
The cross-sections of the K-Summit Pro are composed by 5.60mm special alloy steel chain, enhanced with traction bars, and plastic plates to connect the cross-section to the arms. The cross-sections are additionally featuring some special tensioning and adjusting elements. In fact the K-Summit Pro can be adjusted to fit different tyre sizes, profiles and wear levels.
The product comes in a practical plastic box which can be easily placed in the lower trunk of busses or easily stocked in the garage or warehouse.
The König K-Summit Pro is certified according to Ö-Norm V5119 and fulfils all the necessary legal requirements.
