Just in time for this new big snowfall in the US, the indipendent magazine Popular Mechanics has published the results of a new test on the snow.
Tests were done after a week of deep snow in Oregon by an expert in technology and cars, founder of the C3 Group in 2013, and his friend who grew up on skis, ski slopes and winter mountains and knows perfectly well how to drive in winter condition.
They tested different devices on snowvy roads, starting from a parking lots and then driving both on private and public roads. Snow chains were tested in all conditions people can use them, from several inches of snow to ice-covered asphalt, passing by an almost bare pavement. Tests included flat surfaces, tight turns, stopping distance under hard braking, road feel and comfort.
They tested snow chains and other devices on a 2017 Honda CR-V with front 235/60R18 snow tires and König snow chains shone thanks to the excellent results achieved by König XG-12 Pro 255 and König K-Summit XXL K66.
